Finally opened a jar of the black tapenade that's been sitting in my pantry a while (I'm the only one in the house that will eat it). I wanted a little something extra on some paninis we were making for dinner and added it to mine. It was the perfect somewhat salty addition.

What took us so long? We drove by the Olive Pit on I-5 so many times. Finally decided to stop. The olive choices are outstanding. The muffaletta spread is one of the favorite items we found, though so many things were so good...
Whether picking something up from the store, or ordering something online, this store is a keeper!
Also, the lunch we ate at the store was great!

Wow, I jsut tasted the Green Olive Tapenade. It's fabulous. First I tried it on water crackers. The crunch factor was there, but it was missing that chewy something. I sliced a baguette into diagonal wedges and toasted them until crisp yet still soft on the inside. I rubbed a garlic clove over the bread and spooned on the tapenade. The heat from the bread, bite from the garlic, and oil from the tapenade all mixed to create a wonderful bite of food.
I'm so glad I ran into The Olive Pit.

The Green Olive Tapenade is wonderful! We purchased lots while we were in Corning and will order more when we have used all we brought home with us. It's the best ever!!!
